De Reserve version of Pannepot 10% always ages for a year on French oak barrels. While we used new oak barrels in 2005, later editions are aged partially on new barrels and partially on used French Haut Breton de la Rigoudière barrels. Which resullts again in an added complexity in aroma's and flavours.
Intens dark brown in colour with nice beige froth on top.
Aroma is complex, malty with touches of sweet bread with soft hints of spices and Port wine.
Taste is smooth and rich with accents of malts, bread, caramel, coffee, spices and sweet wine.
In the finale, there are interesting notes of soft hops.
